In February we welcomed Charlotte Dey to the Collins and May Law team as a Law Clerk.
Charlotte completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts at Victoria University of Wellington and is now completing her Professional Legal Studies.
Charlotte grew up in Tauranga, in the sunny Bay of Plenty. When asked what she enjoys about living in Wellington, Charlotte said she likes the food and the ‘busy city’ vibes of Wellington as there is always something on. Surprisingly, she also likes the wind.
Charlotte is enjoying getting to know the friendly Collins and May team. Something that has surprised Charlotte about working at Collins and May is the use of a dictation system to draft emails and prepare documents.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys going on walks, cooking and baking. Some have described her meatballs as the ‘worlds best’. They are so good that when she visits her family in Tauranga her mum asks her to make some, and she freezes them.
We sat down with Charlotte and asked her a few questions to get to know her a bit better:
Q: What is your favourite book?
A: Anything by Emily Henry.
Q: What is the last concert you went to?
A: Fred Again.. (as did several other members of the Collins and May team)
Q: What did you do over Easter weekend?
A: Went to Tauranga to see my family. From there we traveled to Cambridge where we did some bike trails and visited the Maungatautari bird sanctuary. We also went along to the Tauranga Jazz Festival.
Q: What is your go-to dish to take to a potluck?
A: A big roast chicken to feed my friends.
Q: What is your favourite TV show?
A: The Summer I Turned Pretty. Season 3 is coming out soon which I am very excited for!
Q: What is your favourite board game?
A: Not a board game but a card game – Skip Bo.
Q: What is your favourite season?
A: Autumn!
